How can I search in Akooda?

Finding information in Akooda is easy! Here's how:

  1. Login to Akooda
  2. Type your question in the search bar at the top. Akooda is designed for natural language, so you can ask questions just like you would a colleague.
  3. Hit Enter and see the results! Akooda will search through all the data it's connected to within your organization to find the answer to your question.
  4. Click on any link in the search results to access the document, data, or resource that your answer is based on and that you have permission to access to go directly to the relevant asset.

By using natural language, Akooda makes finding information within your organization quick and easy.

How can I filter my results?

While Akooda doesn't offer filtering by category just yet (it's on the way!), you can still target your searches for better results. Here are some tips:

  • Use Specific Keywords: Include terms directly related to what you're looking for. For example, instead of just "project status," try "Jira project status report."
  • Refine Timeframes: Specify a time frame to limit your search. Instead of "last meeting with John," try "last meeting with John this week."
  • Search by App/Tool: If the information lives in a specific app Akooda connects to, mention the app name in your search. For instance, "Slack conversation about marketing campaign."

How far back can I search?

Akoodais designed to focus on the most recent information within your organization.By default, your searches will automatically cover data from the past 3 months.
If you require information older than 3 months, you can reach out to yourAkooda account admin.

How long does it take for search results to be available after a new data source is added

Akooda is pretty quick, but it usually takes around 24 hours to fully scan and include information from a new data source in your searches.

If you've added a new data source and it's been more than a day, and you're still not seeing results, don't hesitate to reach out to our helpful Akooda Support team. They'll be happy to investigate and assist you further.

How do you keep my information private?

At Akooda, we understand the importance of data privacy. Here's how we safeguard your information:

  • Respects Existing Permissions: Akooda works with your existing business tools, so users only see information they already have access to. We don't bypass security measures.
  • Focuses on Search, Not Storage: Akooda doesn't store your raw data. We simply search and return results based on your permissions.
  • Protects Private Interactions: Your private communications within those tools are never exposed to Akooda.

Are there any limitations on the number of searches or the amount of data I can search through?

Don't worry about counting your searches in Akooda! You can search as many times as you need to find the information you're looking for.

Akooda will scan through all your data sources for each search to give you the most accurate and relevant results.

What types of data sources can Akooda access?
